Seventeen Falsifeye HD Mascara Review,

I'm one of those girls who just loves eye make up, without eyeliner and mascara I feel completely naked and you would definitely not catch me leaving the house without it - even on holiday I will wear waterproof eyeliner and mascara - my obsession is that bad! My eyes in my opinion are my best facial feature; a bold flick of jet black eyeliner with lovely long and volumised eyelashes is definitely my go-to look to help emphasise my eyes and make them stand out. I am always on the look out for the *perfect* eyeliner and mascara, I tend to switch between brands quite a bit to try out different products as I have yet to find a mascara or eyeliner that's been 100% perfect for me. I was browsing the make up stands in Boots when the Seventeen Falsifeye HD Mascara caught my eye with its' cute packaging and big claims for 'corner to corner volume and length for High Definition impact'. I was very intrigued by this mascara, although I had never tried a mascara from Seventeen prior to this, I have been pleasantly surprised by a couple of their other products in the past, so I thought I would give it a go and see if it lived up to the bold claims being made on the packaging.

Seventeen Falsifeye HD Mascara Review,

I bought the Seventeen Falsifeye HD Mascara in Blackest Black (of course), although it is available in Brown/ Black if you prefer a more subtle colouring. I am really loving Seventeen's product packaging at the minute, the re-branding is very cute and quirky and this mascara is no exception. The Falsifeye HD Mascara comes in an electric pink box with contrasting coloured writing in a fun and youthful font that really grabs your attention - This design also continues onto the mascara tube. On one side of the box, there is a before and after photo of the mascara in use and I must say this did build up my expectations a lot! To see the dramatic difference that the mascara makes before you have even had to buy it and try it yourself is a great marketing technique and I'm sure that photo has convinced many girls (including me) that it's worth giving this mascara a go. Seventeen is making confident claims with the Falsifeye HD Mascara, so of course I couldn't wait to see the results for myself.

Seventeen Falsifeye HD Mascara Review,

The mascara wand has a unique brush head with a combination of short and long plastic bristles. On the flat side of the brush there are short bristles, which holds the bulk of the mascara in order to load the mascara easily onto the lashes. Once the mascara is applied, the rest of the brush has longer bristles which helps to comb through the mascara evenly from root to tip. The longer bristles help to define and separate, to avoid the lashes clumping together and to ensure each lash looks lengthened and volumised. For those tricky, tiny lashes the nib of the brush also has bristles on which helps to capture these pesky lashes with expert precision to make sure no lash, no matter how small is missed. I find this mascara very easy to use and even within a couple of strokes, my lashes already had a good coating and looked instantly longer. What's good about this mascara is that it is so easy to build up layers and add extra volume when desired at just another stroke of the brush. A lot of mascaras start to look spidery and clumpy if you add too much, but this mascara has excellent staying power and lashes stay defined even with 2-3 generous coats - with no clumps in sight! This is the perfect mascara to take from day to night as you can just add an extra coat later on in the evening for that glamorous night time look.

Seventeen Falsifeye HD Mascara Review, Before and After swatch

Here's a close up shot of me wearing the Falsifeye HD mascara on one eye compared to my other eye with no make up on. As you can see for yourself, there is a dramatic difference when you compare the two side by side! My lashes look significantly longer and volumised - even the tiny lashes near the corners of my eyes. I love how curled my lashes look when using this mascara and it definitely does give that desired false lash effect from corner to corner as every lash just fans out; I think the mascara has even opened my eye up even more and gives the illusion of bigger eyes which is definitely a plus! I am wearing two small coats of mascara in this photo and my lashes aren't clumping or sticking together and the formula isn't becoming spidery & cheap looking. My lashes just look fluttery and volumised without the need for lash extensions or false eyelashes thanks to the Falsifeye HD mascara! Although the mascara is not waterproof, the formula is quite tough and doesn't budge easily; it can pretty much last all day with minimal smudging.

Considering I've used mascaras that are double or triple the price of this one, I think this is my favourite out of the bunch and I'm seriously impressed considering this is a budget mascara. What makes it even better is I picked this up when it was on offer for only £4.99 so it really was a bargain! Although even at its' full price of £6.99, I still think this is a very affordable mascara that does the job better than a lot more premium alternatives that I have used.

What do you think to the Falsifeye HD Mascara? Will it be on your list next time you head to Boots?

Amie xx

    1. I actually have a sample of Benefit's they're real, and I think I prefer this one, it's much less clumpy and easier to build up! I think you'll like it plus it's like 3 times cheaper, so that's a bonus!

Let me know if you try it out :)

  6. That looks so incredible! My They're Real! has started to dry out, I've been thinking about replacing it but can't quite part with that much money. This looks like it could be just as good - I'll definitely check it out next time I'm in Boots!
