I know, two whole outfit of the day posts in a week! I'm really trying to get back into posting more outfit posts and thanks to a few more hours of light it's helping me get back into the swing of things! I wore this outfit at the weekend as it was another couple of days of gorgeous bright sunshine and I wanted to take advantage of the weather and shed a few layers - I'm sure you don't want to see me in jeans, jumpers, a coat and scarf! I bought this Warehouse asymmetric floral dress last year off Ebay, I must have spent about £10, as it's from Warehouse it has an amazing quality and must be the best £10 I've spent. I actually had this dress in plain purple but didn't realise they were the same style until it came in the post - but as it's such a gorgeous dress I don't mind having two, I wear this one more casually thanks to the ditsy floral print and save the purple one for evening looks. I love the asymmetric hem and has a really flattering shape thanks to the construction, it pulls you in and then floats down from the waist. It's made from a lightweight fabric and is a great transitional piece to take you from winter to spring thanks to the darker, more muted tones. I mentioned my pre-emptive H&M order for summer in my last OOTD due to fear of certain pieces selling out closer to summer and I'm so glad I picked up this H&M longline kimono! I still can't believe it cost only £5.99 when similar brands are selling kimonos - especially longline ones for at least £30. This was the first time I wore it and it just made the outfit, it made me feel like such a fashionista wearing it, although it's a very plain garment I don't know why but it just seemed to instantly boost my confidence and just added an extra element to the outfit. I just love how it drapes and floats as you walk, the sleeve length and style is also really flattering. The kimono is also a really versatile piece that I can wear with the majority of things in my wardrobe - even when the sun comes out, it's a great light layer to add to sun dresses, tees and skirts. As I thought, it hasn't stuck round for long and is now sold out, so I'm extremely pleased I decided to get it when I did.
I would love to know what you think and whether you will like to see more frequent outfit posts on Fashion Is Our Religion!
Amie xx

DeleteThe dress is of perfect length for me, hopefully I will be able to guide you in the right direction to prepare yourself for hemming if needed.
